Still throws a check engine light every now and then, but we can get it to pass safety and emissions. Had an issue with the overdrive shift solenoid, but I replaced it, the transmission, and all the fluid. New fuel pump (within the last year) Air Conditioning

I am selling my 2003 explorer because my wife wanted an a little bigger vehicle. We have loved this so we stayed with a ford for her next car. This is and has been a very reliable car. Only problem it has ever had was the transmission at 198000 miles. It has been rebuilt and is strong as it ever was. All oil changes have always been performed using mobil 1 synthetic. We have owned it for 8 years. The tires are in great shape. It has the third row rear ac system that fully works. It has power windows and locks. Remote start keyless with keyless entry. Everything works great. The only two things wrong are cosmetic issues the back panel is cracked like every explorer from this age group. There is also a small rust spot on the right quarter panel by the gas cap. Other than that it is ready to go title in hand. Cash local sale only. Looking for a great car for driving around town, this is it. I drive mostly on the freeway and that's where 95% of the miles have came from. These reason i'm selling this is to upgrade to a truck. I brought 4 brand new tires last year. I've never had any problems with the exception of the power steering, which was fixed by the dealer due to a manufactures recall. Bought this for a project/ fun truck. Don't have any time or money to put into it. It drove fine when i bought it. Then the rear diff went out, so that needs to be fixed. And it has been sitting for a while and will not start. I know the battery is dead. But it might also need a fuel pump. I need this gone by the end of the week!!!!! 1500 obo make an offer! Will need to be towed away.
